Is that the gloss black or the flat black?

What kind of warranty does it have for fading. I had a grill like that on my f150 and in less than a year it was faded to flat black

The grille is very high quality. Same material as the OEM. I am not worried AT ALL about fading.

How is the fitment on the lower grille? I have those grilles bookmarked on the computer to buy but not right away ($500 for grille hard to swallow) but the bottom grille on our cars - the bumper has a cut-out for the OEM grille with the chrome border to fit into. The aftermarket grille doesn't have that chrome surround so is there a wide gap / void between the bumper and the grille? Thanks!

I guess I am a little confused on your question. This replaces the whole bottom piece, not just the center. Also, $500 is not terrible for what you are getting and grilles aren't that cheap anyway. It's high quality and gets rid of the nasty 3 piece looking grille on the bottom.

Sorry, but re-read my question - the lower grille fitment. Look at the pic below. There's a cutout on our bumper for the OEM grille for the chrome surround. New grille does not have the chrome surround therefore creating a void in the bumper. Is there an ugly gap or noticeable void now?

Joe and or Jason. Any chance the two of you can post a close up of the edge where the new grill meets the bumper cover? I have the lower grill in hand (not yet installed) and I'm holding off on the upper to decide if I want the version that uses the surround or the one you two have. My only concern is if you look at the picture of the stock grill in post #12, you can see the tabs in the bumper cover (Lower RT corner on bottom grill) where the stock insert is pushed out-can you see any of that on this style billet grill? The grill itself looks great on both your cars in the picture, but in person, does it in any way look unfinished without the surround or do you think it takes any rigidity out of the bumper cover?
One more car payment and I own it and play time begins. I haven't found one picture of the GTG grill that uses the factory surround, that in itself may say something. On the other hand, I have a Ruby Red SHO and plan on keeping all the chrome treatments chrome and I'm still on the fence on which GTG upper grill design if you guys can give me a nudge one way or the other. My assumption is that I'll need to pull the bumper cover off for the install, so no plans to install the lower until I have the upper too. It's not rocket science, but I was surprised that the lower didn't have any instructions at all.

I just talked to these guys online a couple weeks ago. Will be getting my Hydrographic work done with them in the future. Lots of good reviews from the guys around here.

Car looks great!

I'm assuming your were seeing the tabs on the lower grill caused by some damage. They are not seen with the GTG.

Very cool of you to post that pic. My concern was if you could see any of the old mountings used for the factory grill and lower filler since the non surround GTG is essentially an open design. I'm guessing once you pull the bumper cover off, you just locate the hole locations and mark/drill holes?

Yes. Make sure to mask the painted areas with tape. The protruding studs will scratch while your marking.

Don't worry. You drill holes into the facia and are covered up if the factory grill is put back on. They are also covered up by the GTG grill. You can do it! it's only plastic.
