Hey guys! Brand new to the Ford world as of yesterday. Got me a 2010 SHO with the PP (I think *still newbie) and nav package. I love it . Ended up talking them up from 2k to 4k on my jeep for trade in (not bad considering the bottom end had a tap). The sticker price on it was 15,750 and I could only get them down to 15,250 but hey as far as I can see it seems to be a steal. It has 75k miles on it and a few scratches here and there nothing a little touch up can't cure.

NOW the fun part. I actually work at a car accessory shop so I love making my cars personalized. So I know I have read a couple threads about the liver noise and unleashed tunes. I am wanting to do one of those ASAP. Was wondering what yall recommend in that department. Within the week it will be tinted (20 percent) and the rims painted black. Then I will be looking into a black grill. I had seen a few threads where Tommy z designs made one but it seems that site is a flop now. Also the T Rex grills for this year look pretty hideous in the pictures imo. I like the honeycomb look of the bottom grill and would like to make it match it? I had found some links to just the honeycomb material so I might be doing some custom fabrication if I can't find a good looking grill. Also considering painting the grill on it for the time being until I find another.

Here is a list in order of what I think I want to do to it:
tint (20 percent)
Paint rims black
Black grill
Tuner of some sort (livernoise/ unleash
Cold air intake
Cat back exhaust

Let me know what you all think and any advice or tips is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Looks like a good start. I ended up painting just the chrome parts of my grill and really like how it turned out. A lot of people simply paint the whole thing black but I we never a huge fan of that look.

As far as the Unleashed/Livernoise tunes it's 6 of one and 1/2 dozen of the other. Obviously Livernoise is a big supporter here and has a large following. There are also several Unleashed supporters. One thing that's worth noting in case you haven't run across it is that Livernoise will only tune for their own parts. So just make sure you have a long term plan on what you want and where you're going to buy it (so you don't have to re-buy parts).

Welcome, Hang10Tony, congrats on the new ride! If you are persistent, you may be able to get a Tommy Z product, but might take months ...

^ what he said on the tuning part. Leading Edge Tuning is another tuner you can talk to.

CAI and exhaust are made worthwhile if you also have hiflow downpipes.

Welcome Tony, sounds like you got a fair price on your SHO and the Jeep. I'm jealous that you work at an accessory shop. I also want a grill with honeycomb to match the bottom. I will end up making my own but haven't found insert material. What I have found available is only 1/4" thick. I want something with the same honeycomb depth as the bottom. I'm fairly sure aftermarket mesh is thinner for flexibility. I am going to find another oem scrap yard grill with similar rake and curvature and honeycomb patern I like.

Other than meth injection kits, I didn't know this about Livernois and parts specific requirements. Does this mean with my MDesign cai and PPE catted DPs on the garage floor ready for install that I will no longer get tune support? I would not be happy if this is true.

I don't know and I would say ask Livernois. They're on this forum regularly so I'm sure they will clear up what they do and don't do. I was simply trying to get the OP to look into it to have a plan before spending money.

If you get the Livernois kit which is highly recommended and supported. Get the Stage 1 Kit which includes most everything including the Windstorm CAI kit. The only add on after that is the 3bar MAP sensor. Jaimie and Anthony are top notch for both sales, and professionalism with service after the sale.

Welcome! Great group of people here. Learned alot about these SHOs here.
Here is my take on your list;
tint (20 percent) - always good to do
Paint rims black - really depends on what type of vehicle, overall not a fan, just my opinion. kinda ruins a quality OE product by slapping some paint or plasti-dip on it.
Black grill - all relative, some people like the chrome look, but I really like the look of black grille's on the SHOs
Tuner of some sort (livernoise/ unleash) - this is a MUST. Get ahold of Livernois and Unleashed. See which you prefer.
Cold air intake - Again, from what I hear, really not worth it. I skipped it. You want hiflow downpipes added for this to gain you much of anything.
Cat back exhaust - I haven't really looked into this. I'm not sure how good a exhaust would sound for a 3.5 engine, but you can probably get better output. I'm sure some of the owners here have a better take.

Hey guys finally plastidipped my rims and grill let me know what you think. I'm going to do the little accents on the right and left of front bumper next and maybe the one on the fenders. Still waiting on my coworker to tint it (getting very impatient but can't complain since it's free).

Just found out that I do not have the PP either :(. Is this that big of a deal? And can I get aftermarket parts and get it close to the PP? Might post this in another thread might be better but figured yall might know also.

Om a 2010, PP is not that big of a deal. You have the 2.77 axle ratio while the PP has 3.16. It would not be cost effective to change that. Otherwise, the 2010 PP had different brake pads but you can upgrade the pads/rotors on your non PP if you choose.

OK cool after searching a little the axle ratio seems to be the only thing I couldn't change or add myself (if I would choose too) thanks for the quick reply

I like the look of that grille! And get ahold of Livernois if you haven't already. Once you get your upgrades and tuner... you won't even realize you aren't a PP :p
