I just saw that there will be a Fusion Sport for 2017!

"The 2017 Ford Fusion benefits from an attractive facelift as part of its refresh, but the Blue Oval also hopes to lure customers with an extra dash of performance from the new Fusion V6 Sport trim. The automaker slots a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 under the hotter sedan's hood, pumping out 325 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, and the power then routes through a six-speed automatic gearbox to an all-wheel-drive system."

This looks to be a very interesting car, once Livernois gets their hands on one

What do you guys think?

Should've given it center exhaust tips :) Definitely has potential! More so if the weight is less than that of the Edge.

That 2.7 EcoBoost in the new MKX is 335 hp and 378 lb-ft and it really goes! It also does well on gas if you drive it decent...

I guess I am a little disappointed if comparing this to the SHO. I am glad they didn't call it SHO because there is really nothing super high about the output. In stock form, this car will likely run similar (or maybe a tish quicker) quarter mile times to a stock 2010 SHO. I would like to have seen a bit more progress in 7 years.

It will probably be 700 lbs lighter, so that's approximately 70 Horses, so I wouldn't be surprised , if it doesn't out perform the SHO. And also should handle a good bit better.

I actually saw the new Fusion Titanium in Platinum White on M39 (Southfield Fwy) a few days ago and I didn't even know what it was until I read Fusion on it. MIND YOU I OWN A 16 Titanium! The pics do nothing for the car.

Love the quad exhaust tips! Can't believe the SHO doesn't have something more aggressive like this!

I wonder if Ford is going to offer a Taurus version of this. This is the new MKS. I'd rather have that then the new Fusion.

The story we are getting is that Lincoln will get the 3.0 Twin Turbo (no longer EcoBoost) 400 hp/400 lb-ft engine exclusively, and that there will not be a Ford version of the Continental. (But they also told us Lincoln was going to get exclusive access to the 2.7 EcoBoost too, and also exclusive access to Lincoln Drive Control (admittedly called something different on the Fords, but the same suspension adjustment capability exists on some Fords), so I am not quite ready to take all of that to the bank just yet...

The Fusion Sport would give Ford a true sports sedan, which they presently don't have.

Nice... and tempting.
But I prefer my MPG's instead of performance.
I'll retain my 2013 MKZ Hybrid.
Especially for those 334 mile drives I make 2x per month.

I'm a big fan of this. I've driven a Fusion but really didn't care for the 4 cylinder, even in turbo form. Liked the chassis feel though. I bet this car is a winner.

I'm a fan but will need to see better pics.

also, I believe the same motor in the Lincoln MKZ for 2017 will have 400hp, so im kind of perplexed.

I think at first when the Fusion went to that new front grill...and everyone was like "oooooh!! Aston Martin!!" I liked them. Now that the grill is being applied to every single one of their cars and it's getting older looking...the Fusion is my least favorite of them. Not sure why.
