Took it in for the Hubs TSB and a paint defect.

Turns out the Pearl is tricky, tiny defect on the driver door spine= both doors getting repainted. I hope they get it right

Dealer put me in a 300s rental, which is better than a Fiesta, but still not on the same level.
Now on work travel driving a equinox, what a POS.

I guess the good, is that it will be like the 1st time I drove it all over, and I can put the tune back on.

Stock will be great , Tuned will be back to perma-grine.

I have to say it again, this equinox is a crap box.

Gives you the opportunity to re-appreciate your SHO :) Hope they get the paint job right. Blending is an art. Having the hubs corrected = money!

Good to hear!!!
My car has this sometimes strong "pop" when doing a three point turn around or even backing into a parking spot.
Are TSB's covered under 60,000 miles?

TSB coverage is listed at the end of the TSB text. So in this case, only during B2B coverage, not powertrain. BUT, if the parts involved are normally considered part of the powertrain, then yes the TSB cost would be covered.

I'd have to pull up powertrain coverage info to see if there's any on the halfshaft ... let me see ...

EDIT: Looks like you have coverage per this Ford document, pg 10+

I tried to order the thrust washer (BB5Z-7G273-B) but my local Ford Parts center told me that part has been discontinued and replaced with F2GZ-7G273-A. But the parts seem so different , with the original washer having a nylon side and the new part looks like a big internal tooth lock washer. I can't find any info that shows the old part was replaced, nor an updated TSB. Is this info available online?
