Well.....after weeks of inconspicuously trolling around here, I finally decided to take the plunge and introduce myself. I'm the new owner of a '14 SHO PP, in my favorite color (Ruby Red Metallic). After owning a '13 Ford Edge Sport for a little over a year, I came to the conclusion that my life needed an HP boost.....at least that's how I justified the purchase to my wife. Although I'm no stranger to modified vehicles (prior to the Edge, I owned an '07 Jeep SRT8 with a 440 HEMI pushing 600 HP at the wheels), I don't plan to take the SHO to such drastic means. Although I've been quite satisfied with the SHO these past few weeks, as it's proven to be a nice compromise between the Edge and the SRT8, the mod bug has hit and I've been reading up to see what's available for some additional HP. From what I've found, Livernois seems to run the gambit on tuning and minor upgrades for the SHO, and they're reputable in the HEMI world as well. Their SHO upgrade packages seem to be well-suited to the new owner, with a decent power output, so I'm leaning in that direction.

Now that I've got the compulsory intro out of the way, I have a few noob questions that I'm hoping some of the more seasoned owners can help me out with:

1. Do any other companies besides Livernois offer similar all-inclusive upgrade packages for the SHO? And if so, how do they stack up?
2. Are there any competent installation shops in the northern VA area that anyone knows about? I was told that EcoInjection in Elkton, MD is reputable, but I'd rather not have to drive 3+ hrs if I could avoid it.
3. Are there any DC area SHO clubs? The SRT meet-&-greets were a blast.....hoping to find some local SHO owners and talk car sh*t!

Aside from all the above, are there any other tips or suggestions as a new SHO owner I should be aware of? I look forward to learning more about the SHO and hopefully some of you as well. For the picture ****** out there, I snapped a few quick ones as soon as I made the 4-hr drive from the dealership. Yes, it was a hike, but it was worth it for the deal I got! Enjoy!

Welcome to SHOmania, Brian, congrats on the '14 SHO, tho sorry to lose one from the Edge group :) Are you past Richmond? I think the North Carolina group is pretty active, the VA group used to be, but haven't heard much recently (kevinspann, luigisho, zach etc would know the latest). Those guys could EASILY do the install for you also, no biggie.

Parts packages can be had from Unleashed, Livernois, and EcoPowerParts. You can get tunes, plugs, TStat, 3bar, CAIs, downpipes and catbacks, which are the most popular upgrades.

Thanks! I'm actually a little north of Richmond.....in the Stafford area to be exact. I'll admit that I'm not mechanically savvy, so any help in finding a performance shop to install the mods I mentioned earlier is most welcomed.

Put up a separate thread in the General ChitChat or SHO Related subforums, asking for who in the area can do the work you want. Living where you do, you shouldn't have an issue with a member on this forum getting it done for you. kevinspann & luigisho are great resources in the immediate vicinity of Richmond. You actually don't need a performance shop to do the work, because all these things are "peripheral" to the engine/drivetrain, but you definitely should get reliable servicepeople.

Kevin is Richmond area. I think the northern VA guys may cross pollinate with Maryland and even Philly area. I would also look at ecoboost platform groups to locate performance shops for the newer SHO's. Bigger pool of people to draw from as far as knowledge and referring shops closer to you if Livernois is not what you intend to use.

Hi Brian. I'm in Northern Va. Not sure of any groups around. Car looks great.
PM me. I can help you out with the tune from Livernois if interested, pretty simple.

Thanks! After doing some further research over the weekend, I think I've figured out a way ahead. Torrie from Unleashed Tuning gave me some sound advice on how to approach my build as well. Appreciate the support...

Good to know. I'd be interested in rounding up some of the local SHO owners to bump some ideas off them and to see what they've done with their rides.

Thanks Mark! I've actually decided to give the SCT X4 programmer a whirl. Seems to have more options for real-time data logging and monitoring than the MyCal device from Livernois.

Beautiful SHO. I love the red. Soon after we bought our black SHO. My coworker was jealous of ours and bought the same as yours. It's hot!

Sweet ride Brian!!
