So, I am thinking of taking all the badges off the car, to give it more of a sleeper look.

I really dislike the ecoboost part of the SHO badge on the trunk, as most people don't think "Twin Turbos" when they see it. In taking that off, why not take em all off? There are enough places on the car that if you look, you see the SHO (rims, dash, front door badges), so it wont be gone completely. Just taking the stuff off the trunk.

What do you think? Has anyone already done this?

the taurus badge kind of adds to the sleeper look lol. i do agree the ecoboost isnt the greatest logo. seems like all we can get is f-150 badges and old nissan 3.5l twin turbo stickers.

But you can always design your own, you know? Get them printed out at Signazon.com or other small job print shop that can do vinyls, etc. That said, there's a zillion different decals/ornaments that you can get on eBay.

Also, if you have a 2013 SHO and you want to sleeper-ize it, trade up for 2010-2012 fender badges (the opposite of what I did lol) to make it look more like an ordinary Taurus. I'm reasonably sure the EcoBoost logo can disappear, replace it with whatever you want. To me, making it look like an ordinary Taurus is the most effective way to enhance the sleeper in your ride.

This is one of the first things I'm doing to my SHO, besides tinted windows, when I pick it up in a couple weeks.

Are the badges like most others and just stuck on with glue?

I've debadged all my vehicles. Gives it a cleaner look, IMO.

I've been considering this too. Agree the ecoboost badge below the emblem should say 3.5L Twin Turbo. I have seen these on ebay. IF you do it - please post pictures.

I just applied a decal to by rear bumper out of respect for Gen 1 & 2. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow.

Here's what I just did. Not a flawless install, but I got the effect I was looking for.

I like the ghosted look. Now you should take the other badges off and leave just the ghost SHO. That would look sweet.

I initially swapped out the SHO vents for Taurus vents, but didn't like the chrome. I've been rocking the Interceptor vents for a year. I still mull over removing the SHO trunk badge.

If you have a 2013+ I would love to trade fender badges with you. I have the ones that say "Taurus" so no one can tell its a SHO from the side. I really want the new style that says SHO for a little more attention.

Next year I will be de-badging the Taurus and SHO/Ecoboost from the trunk, plasti-dipping the flaking the chrome around the taillights and I'm thinking of plasti-dipping the fender emblems so they look more like the Interceptor badges.

{edit} Along those lines does anyone know if the SHO letters can be removed from the black triangle things behind the rear doors?

I personally wouldn't recommend de badging the only de badging I did was the dealer de badging....No Free Advertising...... If you decide I have heard that fishing line will take most of the badges off clean.....the remaining can be removed with Adhesive Remover.
