I saw that EcoBrick Bob had some success with 18"s for his car.

I wanted to see if others have made the transition and if there are issues (brake clearance). Also if there is a noticeable difference?

I am also curious on tire size used. I would guess something a bit wider would be necessary to have a similar 45% profile, but I will defer to those that know more.

Is it better to use a 18x8 or an 18x8.5?

Thanks,

Karl in Dallas

I just bought some 18" wheels and winter tires from TireRack today for my '13 PP SHO. They will fit with no issues.

Went with 18x7.5 Enkei Falcon wheels and 245/55/18 Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow.

Here are the 18"'s on my '13 PP SHO. This is my winter shoes (Pirelli Scorpion Snow & Ice). The OEM 20"s definitely look better, but these look fine for a winter setup.

What size tires are those? I'm guessing 235/55 since that's what Tire Rack suggests for a winter setup. Will 17's fit? There are a lot more options in 17's than 18's.
