This is the idea. just the front and rear bumper covers and running boards. I don't like the vent visors or the bra lip but the wing and light cover are cool tho. But its gonna be black or a gunmetal not green. O ya and no goofy graphics like this I have my one ideas.
I would love to make it a MTX but that's allot of extra work and my wife couldn't drive it then.

More like this only with the running boards bumper covers and light covers. Also I love the hood on this one!

I always thought that a you could bolt the subframe from a 95 ATX up to a 95 windstar and it would be the closest to plug and play as possible. I'm not sure how accurate this is though....

Definitely interesting project. Maurice
Edit done a little looking the 3.0 trans was available and reliable. If going FWD wiring harness shouldn't be a big deal. It does mention a tight engine bay. Looks like even based on the Taurus platform so maybe even bolt up like already mentioned about. Looks like up to the 1999 model. My source.

Encouraging you very interesting. I know everyone here will help out in their way. Maurice

Ok its gonna be FWD. The windstar from research is the same sub frame as the taurus. I am hoping it will be kinda plug and play ya know (but im sure it wont be lol). Its like a van with a taurus under the front. It does have a tight engine bay (from under the hood) like most vans. That saleen van is a 1 of a kind by Tim Allen (from home improvement) and Saleen http://inventory.dezercollection.com/1996-ford-windstar-saleen-prototype-1-of-1-formally-owned-by-tim-allen-c-426.htm. Its a supercharged 3.8. It was a concept to make a sporty minivan for people like us lol. I will post pics as soon as I get the sub frame out from under the windstar. I am gonna use the taurus subframe it should bolt right up. Im still doing the research on that. I could always go V8 SHO but im not a big fan of the V8's. Gonna try and do measurements today and see what the differences are.

I would love to RWD and MTX but I think that mite be way to much work and I want my wife to be able to drive it (she hates MTX). As for the RWD that mite me possible with like a arrowstar but they are butt ugly. From what I understand the trans from the arrowstar will bolt up. But I just cant get over how ugly they are. And I already have the windstar. As for the wide body that's a must after all the drive train work!
