Trading 2011 SHO (non PP, 401A, Nav) with 28K miles for new 2012 SHO PP, 402A, Nav. X-Plan price is 42,155 less $2,500 cash back out the door price is 39,665. My trade yields 29,655 for a difference of 10K.

Deal or not?

I say no deal. If you were going to a 2013 then it makes sense. To pay 10g's for more or less the exact same car (plus PP) isn't worth it.

:stupid: JK, but seriously 10K for Nav and PP? That's more than the options cost new and 28K miles is still "new" IMO. No deal.

If you want the PP, get a 2013. Vastly superior PP setup in that car! No brake issues on Scott's 2013 at Brainerd this year.

Sorry, late to the party. I already got it.

I already had Nav, I was missing the additional options in 402A and PP.

This sumbitch was on the lot for 127 days - talk about square tires!

I was also fortunate enough to pick up an additional $750 incentive. To me, it was more about the deal itself. By all measures I ended up +$2100 in the trade.

Of course I now have to wait the requiste 500 miles before I wind it up, although I did run up with an M6 on the Interstate on the way home.

Actually you lost $3000+ since your "new" 2012 is now used and new cars depreciate immensely as soon as they leave the lot.

The only thing that matters is that you left with the deal you wanted on the car you wanted. Personally I love my '11. Er uh, my wife's '11.
