I am now, and have been for years, a card-carrying member of the "Bottles Are For Babies" club.

**** nitrous.

Never saw this until now. Having owned both a Supercharged SHO and a Nitrous SHO....at the same time, I can say without a doubt that a Nitrous SHO is a **** of a lot more fun then a SHO with a blower.

Until the bottle runs out. And the gas cost/time wasted & hassle/refill cost of getting the "thrill" again.

Negative. I filled my bottle a total of 4 times in 3 years. Those 4 times netted me 30+ runs. Since I don't drive like an ass hat on the street, It wasn't missed. It served the purpose perfectly fine. As far as the "Hassle", I had two shops that were less then 15 minutes away that would fill it up for 40 dollars. Dropped the bottle off and picked it up an hour later while I was running around town. Took 5 minutes to get in and out of the car.

So...Hassle...? Nope. Thrill? Was only used at the strip. Cost. Total of 500 dollars over 3 years.

Compared to Forced induction....Well, You are already looking at a minimum for 3500+ UP front just to get it running properly....and MAYBE be as fast as my car was on the bottle. Seems like there was a clear winner to me.

Phfff yea rite. I disagree lmao

Have you tried a Nitrous SHO? The power delivery is FAR superior. I am NOT impressed with how much you have to spin the motor up just to make power, not to mention the way the power drops off when you first shift to third because the blower isn't spinning fast enough. With Nitrous, the TQ/HP was there through out the power band. No waiting.

For someone like me, who is at full-throttle VERY frequently, it ain't worth it.

Since the local place closed, from what i hear the nearest bottle fill is 20 miles away. Kid didn't know the cost, as he hadn't made it there yet.

Big f-in hassle.

Still a card-carrying member of the "Bottles Are For Babies" club!!

I will admit that, if I had a 100% bracket-running-for-$$$ drag car, I would consider it........

You shouldn't expect Tq from an oversized centrifugal blower on the SHO. Its design is for lots of power up high and none below 3k. a smaller pulley would help a lot with Tq. (more boost less rpms so more Tq). Your complaing about lag basically. change the blower or pulley but dont say a s/c sho is inferior....ur setup may be but dont put bad opinions for all s/c sho's.

Remember a T-trim is a commonly used blower for corvettes. For a 3.2L its a tad bit oversized. (ur s-trim aint much smaller)

I drive a slow daily drivers anyways, so having the nitrous on a weekend (every other weekend, if it was lucky) car was far from a inconvenience. You also have to remember that my sole purpose on this forum is to disagree with everything that you say.
