Hey guys,
I've been lurking around the forum for a couple of months now just reading and getting info. I'll jump in and say no pics for the time being. No ability to upload anything at the moment. I'm a former 240sx enthusiast that kinda fell outta the car modification game after 5 cars and getting sick of the crap that comes from the scene. Everyone telling me that my car's not low enough, not jdm enough, not fast enough, not blah blah blah enough from people that have stock or riced out cars that have no right to be telling other people how their cars should be.
Down to the meat and potatoes of things. I picked up a '92 sho mtx from a friend who was an enthusiast. The car had developed numerous problems and was finally parked. I figured "what the ****" and to give some late model restoration skills a run for their money. Besides, there's not really any other sho owners in the area. It is the green exterior (in need of paint) with a black interior model. The car had a bad oil leak which turned out to be the cam seals. Got in there and found out that I had a cracked timing belt and crap water pump. Plus 2 busted motor mounts, a badly damaged a/c compressor, two crap ideler pulleys, a bad crank sensor, and I'm sure quite a few other things.
Upon obtaining the car and waiting on replacement parts to come in I've been ripping apart the interior to make it cleaner and a little better. Took the carpet out and pressure cleaned it and left it out in the sun for a few days. 50 million times better. Lucked out and found a green center console outta a 93-95 non-sho. In the process of making that black. But mostly i'm just taking my time and trying to modify as I repair. I haven't officially met any of you yet, but a lot of you have already been a massive help to me in getting my car back to being roadworthy with all of the information that's been put up on this site. In time I'll hopefully have mine on par with a lot of the very clean examples that're here on shoforum. Thanks guys and I look forward to being a decent member of the family.
