Yeah, it's fairly rust free. Sho's are getting harder and harder to find. I think a lot of people (non-enthusiast) aren't doing any proper maintenence and running them into the ground. Just to get mine running right I was in and out of 5 different autoparts stores and every junkyard locally. The guys at advance would shake their head when I came in and couldn't believe it when I'd ask for a part and their computers wouldn't even list it. I was completely blown away by how no one could give me a straight answer on the motor mounts. I had to get all of my info from here.

I think the SHOs that are in the LKQ yard have good mounts. That primered '91 had almost brand new plug wires on it.

That primered one had a really good a/c compressor on it. And the radiator was brand new. Someone went ******** pulling out something in the motor itself. There's a burgandy 1st gen with a tan interior in there now as well. Worse thing to ever dig through a car in a junkyard and find someone's boxers in there. I think his speeding tickets were in the car too. They had a burgandy one in there before that, which had a full black interior about 2 or 2 and half months ago. But someone stripped the interior bare on that one. I'm actually on the hunt for the little molding on the bottom of the fenders where they meet the front doors. That white car with the green interior had one, but I broke it trying to get it off. Those clips are rather brittle.

I tore that engine down on the primered one. I wanted the valve shims and the timing chain tensioners. It had a plus hood too and another guy here on the forum ended up with that. I took a few bits off that that red '90 with the black interior but someone else took the entire interior. There was a really clean '90 GL that I grabbed the dash out of a few months ago. I want to get the transmission out of the primered one before it get crushed just to have a spare.

Yeah, I don't know what happened to that primmer one before it ended up in that yard but someone took care of it. But I've seen that with a lot of these junk yards. A lot of cars shouldn't be in those yards and are worth saving, on the other hand I don't get why they put cars out that have been completely on fire and maybe the only salvagable part is a rear bump.

There was a Toyota pickup there that was completely burnt to the frame. Even if there was a bolt or two that was worth something you could not get to it because of all the melted parts on top of it.

Yeah, I think the only made a handful of the green models. Ha.

At least with it needing the body work and clearly a paint job, it means that I can force myself into the possibility of a full color change. I got a few ideas, but bothing written in stone. And as far as the slo headlights fitting, someone ghetto rigged them in there. It's clear that someone did absolutely no homework and didn't even consider sable headlights.
