Not sure if anyone has done this but I gotta say I love Jose's shifters.

The Jose SHOrt shifter - the fancy one - from the moment I had in back in July, I have loved it, nice smooth crisp shifts, absolutely awesome build, design and craftsmanship.

So, I bought a Jose SHOrty shifter - the simple one, for the blue 94. Decided to go ahead and install it in the red 94 just to see how it is in comparison. Gotta say the same another piece with superb craftsmanship.

Although, I did this last night outside where it was like 30 outside, with my dremel, enlarging the hole a little bit so that the aluminum block fits where it was supposed to, then mounting the rod shifter base in backwards, not realizing it at the time. It puts the shifter handle nearly in the cup holder when in 2nd.

Fixed that, flipped the bottom half around and it works/looks like it should. I love this one too.

He shipped it parcel post on a Thursday from Florida to Indiana, I had it by Monday morning, seems pretty fast to me. Couldn't ask for more.

Thanks Jose for these fine pieces you have made!

Its nice. It took me a while to get it exactly where I wanted. I eventually figured out that having the shifter handle raised as high as possible made for the most precise and low effort shifts. I really like it.

P.S. - It's "You're"

I had taken mine out a few yearsa ago trying to fugure out my shifting problem.

In my case, it was the aluminum flywheel coupled to a CMIII pressure plate. Theis pressure plate is so stiff, that it actually bends the flywheel, causing poor high rpm shifting.

A short shifter in any tranny that has issues, be it a clutch setup or worn synchros, will magnify the problem.

When I took mine out and put the stock shifter back in, I noticed the shifter moved back and forth....odd...

Turns out the front sway bar had been in upside down for a while, so the shifter in this case, had covered up the issue.

I just bought a SHO with a SHOrt shifter, and I hate life.

Maybe the the fidanza flywheel with a Stage 3 clutch (southbend I believe?) doesn't help but this shifter makes it where I have to slam into each gear even fully extended.

I'll put it on the other SHO to see if anything changes, so far I do not want.

I definitly had no problem slamming gears in it.
Was even able to no lift it. With Chris in the passenger seat

If you have a Fidanza and anyone's Stage III clutch, you're gonna have a bad time.

Unless your power levels dictate a need for a stage III clutch, you'd do well to switch to stage II or I.

Of course you didn't have a problem slamming gears in a car you didn't just lay down money for and don't care about...

I took mine out, probably try to put it in car with stock stuff and see how it performs before I decide anything on it.
