Figured I'd start a thread for this...getting it worked on tomorrow. My plan is to replace the 3rd cat with a X pipe, get rid of the resonator/mid muffler (whatever it is) and get the straightest design with some slight mandrel bends to some performance mufflers at the end like stock. Probably put in some 4'+ dual walled tips. Once we get it up on the lift I might actually just go all out and do a turbo back exhaust but we'll see what we're dealing with. I've yet to see anyone post up a turbo back exhaust yet.
One big question is I notice everyone's doing 2.5 inch piping...is it to much to go 3'? Will it **** performance or improve it at all?
Also what is the exact purpose with installing a X pipe in place of the 3rd cat? Can't you just get rid of the third cat and then do straigh pipes without the X? Maybe a dumb question put figured I'd ask.
Anyways I'm going in tomorrow morning. I'll be sure to take pics and get a video for some sound clips.
