They will be under 100 dollars and look great covering up the nasty plastic fantastic ones we have now. They will be done through visual garage. So if interested let me know so we can get a group buy and seal the deal for this awesome appearance mod.

I have them on both my G8 GT's. Had them flatten the same model for my Flex. Installed in spring of 2010 and works great for everything. No signal issues whatsoever....

Sounds great, count me in! Look forward to covering up that black eyesore on the back of my roof! (Of course this is the wife's car, but we won't go there now!)

Should be a week from now that I will test one of the first runs, and keep the forum posted on fittment/reception/color match/etc. I too have ran them on previous cars and it is the easiest most tasteful way to make your car look about $5,000.00 more expensive for 100 bucks.

So I received the antenna yesterday and it is a PERFECT paint match, but the instructions aren't clear for the removal of the factory plastic fantastic antenna.
So I coated a screwdriver with tape as to not scratch any plastic and slid it under the small flat opening at the back that looks like a small keyhole and was messing around prying attempting to find a clip or hear any adhesive being pulled up. Nothing seemed to be happening though.

I don't want to break this one unless I have to, but the new aftermarket antenna has a wire and slimline flat antenna built into it.

Has anyone been able to remove the factory antenna?

If so how exactly did you accomplish it?

Fittment could be better since my G8's antenna was perfect, but the SHO needs just a slight bit of massaging. Just make sure you thoroughly follow the additional prep time. My GPS and HD and Cesestial radio stations aren't effected in any way. However, Hawaii does not have Sirius /XM so it may be blocking that if I was subscribed, but I'm not. Still overall a great product. I essentially covered over the plastic fantastic factory "turtle shell" cover with the pre painted fin, since I couldn't find a pain in the a$$ free way to remove the shell, I believe to truely do it you have to yank the headliner??? That's what I am thinking, but since I don't have any issues it will just stay there.

Mine on my Flex is the G8 one that Visual Garage flattened out for me. All I did was remove the staff as the Stock Flex antenna is similar to the stock G8 one. I then used the correct screw to attach the antenna wire to the antenna staff hole. And then checked the positioning and marked it before removing the tape and attaching the Visual Garage Antenna. Took about 5 minutes, because I was patient. Could have done it in a minute if I was in a hurry. Works fine with Sirius or XM. Not as good with AM, but who listens to that anyway.
