ive tried that no one seems to want to help, atleast i got a reply out of this post

The reason you're not getting any replies is because you're not actually asking a question. "I need basic wiring help" doesn't tell us a damn thing. How basic is basic? Do you need to know what wires are? How to check electrical continuity and for voltage? Do you need wiring schematics? And if so, of what? Do you need to know how something is supposed to be wired?

Will the car crank? Does it start? Does it die immediately thereafter? These are the things we need to know if we're gonna be able to help you.

on the main wiring harness there are 2 black male plugs, 2 gray male plugs, 1 gray female, 1 black female and there is an x connector 2 black females and 2 gray females where does the "x connector" go between
they are the biggest round connectors on the main harness

also i have four wires coming out of the main body wiring that are supposed to go to fusible links i believe, small yellow with gray tracer, small yellow with white tracer, big beige with red tracer and ********* with yellow tracer

car does not crank with the key, when i jump the starter solenoid car cranks but with no fuel pump, no spark

no start, no crank, no fuel, no spark, ran before i removed the engine, removed the engine to rebuild due to oil pump going, reinstalled engine, screwed up some fusible links and not able to figure out where that plugs into, there are one male black and one male gray on the fuel injector harness, one female black and one female gray on the pcm harness and one male black and one male gray on the vehicles body harness, need to know what connectors that x connector thing goes between, vehicle cranks over when i jump the starter solenoid

Wow.

I can tell you right now, as it stands you're going to get ZERO answers to your questions here unless you start asking questions correctly.

If I could offer a primer:

1. Start with a detailed account of what's happening. You stated something about removing the engine... can you elaborate on that further? Give as much detail as possible. You might thing that it's too much detail, but better too much than not enough.

You've already seen the outcome of not enough information.

2. What troubleshooting steps have you taken, and what repairs have you tried already? Again, as much detail as possible. The more information we have, the better chance you have of getting relevant information from us.

Ball is in your court.

I think your asking how to drop the wiring harness back in right? Is the engine already in the car? If so is the harness that runs through the valley ( with the injector harnesses ) already in there?

So on and so forth, with the top harness which is what I believe your asking about, all you do is start matching plugs starting at the 4 connectors that are on a black metal plate on the rear of the engine, from there wires and connectors will somewhat drop into the area they need to be put in, from there you search for the correct connections for the plugs and keep connecting until you have no connectors left..

Just ask your questions in a noted and chronological order and you'll get tons of help, SHOforum is full a great minds.. you just gotta know how to ask the right questions.

Keep us updated, we all just wanna help eachother get our SHO's up and running in the endgame.

good luck

I apologize man, But we're in the middle of probably having the Father-in-law(who currently lives with us) removed to a nursing home, and he just spent all last week in the hospital, So things have taken a backseat, knowhatmean?

With him and the wife and 3 kids, it's a little busy around here...

The two at the end of the injector harness, is on crcle shaped and the other a single square connector??? IF so that's your CPS and a major component.. You need to get picture of the other stuff...

a year and a half ago the oil pump went while i was driving on my 1990 sho, it spun two bearings, i removed the engine from my 89 parts sho and i removed the engine out of my 1990 sho

rebuilt the bottom end of the 89 sho engine and reassembled using all the parts from the 1990 sho (the only thing i used off the 89 was the block/pistons and crankshaft)

upon reinstalling engine with refreshed transmission and new clutch, i reinstalled the engine wiring harness from the 1990 sho/the pcm to icm harness from the 1990 sho,

after alot of headaches i found out where the those cut wires go to on the starter solenoid, and i think i figured out plugging in the pcm to icm harness,

and btw that x connector i was talking about i took the tape off and i found the previous owner modified it, by removing a green wire out of one side and splicing it into a blue wire on the opposite connector(i will provide pics as soon as my camera is charged)

but now im not getting power to pin 1/pin2 and pin 12 at the integrated control module
which is probably why the fuel pump is not kicking in and yes the fusible link to those three wires is good

also any ideas as to why im not getting spark, i have power to the red/green striped wire but no spark...
