I am sure that I will regret this down the road but I just don’t have the room for it right now. For sale is my RUST FREE Red/Gray 95 MTX. I am the 4th owner. The first owner was a one year lease, second owner was Matt Braun who owned it until around 1999 (I believe), and I bought it from the third owner who owned it up until 2009. This car hasn’t seen a winter for 10+ years and it shows. The car has lived the majority of its live near the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Up until I purchased it, all of the work had been done by Mike at Courtney Truck and Service. If you don’t know who he is, research him, he knows his way around an SHO.
Currently the car has 136k miles and shouldn’t be going up very much as I don’t drive it a lot. The car has a good deal of modifications; I will try and list everything.
Engine:

Stock 3.0L
-Full 120k done within last 15k miles.
-JR Revs clutch w/ about 35k miles
-Quaifed trans has been installed for around 80k
-SHOshop intake with fender snorkel
-SHOshop BBB
-SHOshop EH intake
-SHOshop crank pulley
-SHOshop catted Y-pipe
-Dynomax catback exhaust
-80mm MAF
-DIY bolted front MM

Suspension:

-Ground Control coilovers/Koni’s on front & Ground control coilovers/Tokico’s in the rear
-SHOsource articulating bearing for the front coilovers
-Subframe connectors (shorties)
-Delrin subframe bushings
-21/26 swaybars with new swaybar endlinks in rear
-New TRE’s
-New alignment
-Custom dual rear strut tower bar

Wheels/tires/brakes:

-Street wheels are black powder coated 17x8” Team Dynamic Motorsports wrapped in BRAND NEW 235/45/17 Bridgestone Potenza RE760 sports

-Race wheels are 16x7.5” Borbets wrapped in 245/45/16 Hoosier R6’s. (a few track days left in them)

-Also included are a set of Slicers with Nokian Hakkapelitta’s mounted. These tires are old and have some cracks but still perform awesome and have a ton of tread left! Last winter I was forced to drive the car for a week in January and the combination of these and the quaife is almost unbeatable for a FWD car.

-Cobra PBR calipers mounted on 11.6” rotors with stock PBR pads in front, rear brakes are stock. (Cobra brackets are modified for the 11.6” rotors, also are drilled if you wanted to install 13” cobra rotors but won’t fit under track wheels.)

Other:
-Cinci Cowl hood (Currently white, will be painted by end of June if not sold), (stock hood included)
-Programmed with an LPM
-30% professionally tinted windows (look great!)
-Jose SHOrt shifter w/ brackets
-Eclipse 5444 CD deck with AUX input.
-Stainless overlay around gauge cluster

The only reason I am selling this car is because I need to eventually get down to one car. I would rather sell this car than see that it goes through a WI winter. The paint is not flawless but it is in good condition for its age. There are a few quarter size dings on the roof and a ding on the trunk lid near the spoiler. The front bumper is not in great condition and shows 16 years of wear and tear.

If you are looking for a car that rides like a stock SHO, then my advice is to look elsewhere, it rides very firm and is very aggressive. The car runs great and is easily capable of 28-29 mpg on the highway and I would trust this car anywhere! This car has never been to a drag strip as far as I know but it has seen many track days at Brainerd by the previous owner and I have taken it to multiple auto-x’s.

Because I am sure the question is going to come up, why are there koni’s on the front and tokico’s on the rear? I purchased the car with konis/eibachs. I then picked up a set of used tokico’s that already had a ground control kit installed on them. (I don’t know why the guy did this...). I wasn’t 100% sure if I was going to like the coilvovers so I decided to just install the tokico/ground control setup to see how it rode. This spring I took my koni inserts out of their strut housing and realized the rear two are beyond trash. The one isn’t even able to be repaired as it’s severly damaged. The front tokico’s started to bounce terribly last month so I am in the process right now of swapping the front koni’s in to help cure the pogo. I will include the rear 2 koni’s incase the owner wants to do something with them.

The car was in a front end collision in 1998 ( I think, can't remember off the top of my head). The previous owner fell asleep and hit a light pole around 25 mph. Everything was professionally fixed and the car drives awesome. You can see in the video that there are no defects to the front end. The interior is in VERY good condition, the only thing it needs is a good shampooing of the carpet. There are a ton of stains from the PO.
Pm, email, text, call with any questions and I will answer them as honest as I possibly can. I can take any pictures or videos of the car that you want or don’t see below. And no the retrofit headlights are not included, those will be sold separately.

My asking price is $4600 OBO.
I am willing to take some parts off, like the hood and wheels to lower the price some.

Video of cold start up and walk around. Sorry for the shakiness, I was rushing because it was supposed to start raining any second and I wanted to get the car back in the garage. Notice the yellow lines still on the tires, they only have bout 200 miles on them (all highway).

Tonight I swapped out the front struts for the koni's. The car rides 1000x's better, no bounce, no pogo, and much smoother.

Just took this photo tonight. Remember, the hood will be painted by June 1st.

This was my friend's car at one time (Matt Braun). Will have to let him know the status of it now.

Who's the new owner!

Very sad to see it go. I loved this car.

-Sam

It will definitely be missed! The new owner is a guy about 25 miles from Madison, in Baraboo, WI. Sounds like he has owned a few in his time, and hopefully its in good hands....:scared:

I have actually stayed in contact with Matt a little over the last couple years regarding the car.
