Here's the thing though. This is what the fourth time this has been brought up. Bash much? Its obviously a mistake but this isn't about righting a wrong, its about bashing. For one reason or another. You're either the type sitting in your moms basement in your underwear who gets his jollies off bashing on forums. Or you have a thing against doug for one reason or another. Because he's always trying to make a sale, he is a business owner after asl. Or because he's a "dick". Your skin isn't thick enough to handle someone who Won't kiss your ass all three time. maybe your mother breast fed you too long. Bottom line is this, even companies as large as ford have major issues get through quality control. Its still unnaceptable and should be adressed but all of you still own fords. Doug has been working on shos longer than probably anyone here. He's a stand up honest guy and a callable asset top the sho community. Drive him away from your little forum if you wish.

Show me where Doug addressed or took any sort of responsibility for that fuel line. All I've seen him do is ignore it. If something has been done in private, then I apologize, but it hasn't been resolved publicly here on the forum.

I have never bashed Doug/FPS. Quite the opposite actually. I've spoken highly of him in the past, based on work and stories that I've read here. Don't go making assumptions about us or our motives, because you have no idea what you're talking about.

Agree with above . I don't consider bringing light to a serious situation bashing . Espcially when the person/shop in question has never responded to any of the "bashing" or even agknowledged it for that matter . The 2000$ sc tune that didn't run and shot pieces of catalytic coveretor out that was exhaust to boot . Ghetto rigged extremely dangerous fuel lines that someone probably payed $500+ for . You cant just turn a blind eye when people bring up stuff like that and expect everyone and there mother to stay quiet .

Maybe if James had posted a pic of his car burnt to the ground on the side of the highway or of him chilling in the hospital with 3rd degree burns . Then maybe you would shut your mouth and realize why ppl keep bringing it up and not let it go ignored .

Shame on us for being a community that looks out for one another ...

Here's the thing though.

Oh please great wise one, enlighten us.

This is what the fourth time this has been brought up. Bash much?

Only the second time I have seen it. And considering the context, it is absolutely warranted.

Its obviously a mistake but this isn't about righting a wrong, its about bashing.

This is sooo far from bash fest it is not even funny.

You sound as if you are describing yourself.

I've been in the same situation and not once, and let me tell you, whoever think it is bashing: when you end up having a big problem, you wouldn't be talking the same way!!! You would be cursing and screaming out loud how you would do things to that as%$% that did something wrong to your car, that put your life in danger.
Now on another note, I don't think Doug was doing it on purpose, he just ignored it, for some reason, and I think, that he should pay attention to simple things like that, since he is praised a lot by this forum and This is very serious reputation I would'n want to flip upside down.

I really hope that this turbo kit will not look like that fuel line, because I am very interested in getting it. I was going to get it some time ago, but I invested all my money into my business, so I have to wait a little untill I start getting them back and spend it on my SHO tweeks.

Here's the thing though. I dont have a thick skin and get really upset when people make fun of my boyfriend. He has been in the SHO game longer than anybody and knows everything, everybody els here is completly uncapable of doing custom work to a 20 year old taurus.

So, i agree with you.

Well, in the 10,000' view.....

Sure, any shop owner is ultimately responsible for the work that goes out of his shop.

BUT...unless you work out of your garage by yourself, you have to have others working for you.

That don't always share you same work/quality ethic.

Is FPS responsible? Yes.

Is Doug personally responsible for that? No.

I don;t believe Doug would personally do a crap job like that.

Do you honestly think an employee said "**** it" and did this? As an owner that would constitute instant termination when I found this he did this and I would have been on here giving an apology about someone from my company doing this.
Doug had to have given the go ahead on that rig or did it himself.

Ron, your 15 year love affair with him keeps you alittle biased right now on the whole fuel line situation.

I've have a friend for about 6 years, who owns a shop and did a lot of work on my cars and few shos. When they did a lot of work on one of my SHOs that required pulling powertrain out, they didn't pay attention to a lot of details. a month later they had to pull the whole thing out again, because of all that negligence. another month later there was a lot of things wrong with the car again. That's when I've decided to pull the car into that same shop and do all the work myself this time. When i started doing all the work in my own car, i started ******** about a lot of things that were done in a quick-fix way. My friend, shop-owner, was ashame to even here me say anything. That was all because he didn't care much about checking his employees' work. So if he didn't check anything, who would care about doing their job right?
So to me this is not the right excuse: friends for a long time, not me, who did work, but my employees.
I also think that this is not bashing here.
Why some of people here are taking everything in strickly negative way???
I've heard about Doug , Vadim and some other people way before I joint this forum. I've even spoke to Doug on the phone few times. I wish i did that long time before that, so that I would've spent the same amount of money on much better quality work at one shop and probably had few SHOs less to play with. I don't think he is a bad person or mechanic, people make mistakes and have to correct them before real bashing starts.
