I was just wondering if there are any other causes for the heater not working besides the heater core being broken?
I just got my new, used SHO on the road and it runs very well. Having a few minor issues though upon testing some things out. This is the first time this car has been on the road since Nov 2006. I purchased it in Jan 2010 and garaged it, after it had sat outside of an automotive garage for at least 2 years. They thought the clutch job that was performed by them was bad because it wouldn't go into gear. Turns out they just didn't adjust it.
Needed all new brake lines and an exhaust replacement. Ill save the good details for down the road in another post.

Anyways the issues are:

No heat.

RPM Gauge jumps and sticks sometimes

No trunk key...floor button is locked and gas tank button is jammed up or locked. Any solutions for this?

Windshield wipers only run at the slowest speed or the highest. + when engaging the windshield wiper fluid button, no wipers and no fluid. Is that just a problem in the switch?

What I believe to be a busted seal on the windshield, drivers side. Its been raining here and there is a lot of water on the drivers side floor. Its coming from behind the plastic panel that sits behind the e-brake pedal. What makes me assume that its the windshield is that this was not being driven anywhere at the time, and besides, the bottom of the car is in decent shape.

Didn't spend too much to purchase this car. Spent a ton to get it road worthy. Just want to get a few things fixed and done to it. This is my 3rd SHO...but this one....this is my dream SHO ha.

Anyways the issues are:

No heat. Do you hear a clicking sound from behind the dash at all? If so it could be a bad blend door actuator. Mine has the same problem, but mine is stuck blowing heat. SHOSource sells replacement BDA's here: http://shosource.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=61_74&products_id=299
Windshield wipers only run at the slowest speed or the highest. + when engaging the windshield wiper fluid button, no wipers and no fluid. Is that just a problem in the switch? Sounds like a bad multifunction switch. These can usually be found at your local Advance or AutoZone, etc.

Not sure about the rest of the issues you described, but the two I mentioned are pretty common in our cars.

I didn't notice a clicking sound off hand. I wasn't paying much attention to subtle sounds. I had the heat blasting plus the exhaust system is fairly loud when driving so my ears weren't tuned into everything. Ill take a more thorough look today. I wanted to get the fluids circulating and used to the new feel yesterday so I was driving around trying to see what the issues are.
Thanks for the info.

The gas tank and trunk popper are easy to "unlock". Remove the plastic cover and fish around in there with a skinny screwdriver. You'll want to concentrate your efforts on the area between the trunk popper and the rocker panel, nearest the front of the vehicle.

Try to find the right fuse for the blower. I used to pull them out when blower worked the way it wanted or with the speed it wanted.
