One of the thin black side moldings in the drivers side rear door is rusted through. Does any Taurus other than a SHO use these?
I initially overlooked them, but I went page by page through my shop manual and finally found mention of them on 47-07-16.
Thanks,

there are acorn nuts holding them all along the bottom and on the top outside corners. With the last one I removed, I removed the door panel also...because I needed to replace the door handle...

I don't think the door panel has to come off. Just remove the acorn nuts and the top corner nuts. From there, you will need to CAREFULLY pry the trim panel off, making sure to pop out the snap-in fasteners.

You can make a new metal trim piece out of a curtain rod.

very nice. thank you. I wasn't sure what I was going to do about mine. They're too rusty to sandblast. Looks great.

sorry about the w84dsho post. That's me. Forgot it existed here, my ebay username... lol
