Ok, so I posted during the summer that my SHO burned. I think at this point it was an electrical fire, but still am not absolute about that.
I've held on because I plan to get a new body and swap everything out that way.
My question is this...What is the best way for me to see if the motor will fire?
The fuel lines melted, my serpentine belt broke, all the plastic in the front around the cowl melted.
I put a new serpentine on last week, cleaned up as much as I could and now it sits, again.
Would ether in the intake allow it to fire over? The wiring is smoldered in places and the key will not bump the starter. I can jump it through the relay box under the hood and it turns.

I hate how when I put the stock hood back on after the carbon fiber burned that the car looks normal aside from the smashed windshield.

You have to have everything wired, without the wiring and fuel supply and everything operational I don't think you have any good way of doing it.

If any of the electrical for the engine is fried your not gonna get anywhere with either and jumping the starter. Even if it ran like crap for a moment thats not gonna really tell you anything.

Start swappin !

Shit....I was hoping not to hear that. Oh well. I've been keeping a look out on craigslist for a black 98 with the cams gone. Have seen a few, but most were bad off it looked like before the cam problems.
Looks like I'm gonna have to invest in more tools or it's gonna cost me more to have a shop swap the parts then a new body will.
Any La. mechanics around who wanna help me out...lol

S/N...the wrecker dude tore my damn tranny apart trying to get it on a flat bed...****** bastard

Finally found and picked up a good body. Kid bought the car in January, cams spun in less than a month. Parents bought a used motor with cam weld. Got it put back together in March. Flooding comes through Memphis gets in car up to floor boards and presumably up to intake. Car has no fire. Kid no money, no insurance. Parents no time.
Got it for $400 Now the fun begins! Gonna basically be selling off a whole car as I get mine back together.

I HATE the Ford blue the kid painted the valve covers and runners.

Finally got the bodies swapped. Block was still good. Had all new hoses and lines in the donor car. First turn of the key she fired right up.

Anyone have any insight on how to take swap the pcm after I've already put the motor in:shappens:

Gotta give the kid credit, looks like he actually did an okay job of painting them.

Here's a quick pic I took the other day. This is before I changed out the bumper and lights with the new and better stuff I had on the other car. Will try to get some up to date pics tomorrow with the new bra installed.
