Ever since I can remember, I've noticed an odd sound coming from the engine bay when I am accelerating around a turn or when using moderate throttle in 2nd gear below 3500 rpm. The sound is hard to describe but if I had to pick, I'd say its a cross between metal on metal rubbing and a hydraulic pump that is trying to push 10 degree fluid through a hose. The sound is not constant. Its more of a pulsating sound and it all but goes away when I either straighten out the wheel or exceed 3-3500rpms in 2nd gear.
Tranny fluid was flushed about a thousand miles ago and is at the proper fill level. Power steering fluid is clean and the pump itself makes no noise that I can tell. Seems like the sound is loudest on the driver's side and for some reason I keep thinking its transaxle related. However, I have absolutely zero driveability issues and the trans works flawlessly. I'll try to get a sound clip up if I can find the charger for my camera.
