With me retiring the 92 From Autocross Duty for the rest of the year I decided to take it to the strip. I filled up the Nitrous bottle and took off.

My first run I ran it N/A. I got a terrible Launch, Here's how it went.

60' - 2.4
1/8 ET - 9.6
1/8 MPH - 77.2
1/4 ET - 14.66
1/4 MPH - 96.50

Besides the fact my 60' time, My MPH was down nearly 4 MPH from my previous fastest N/A Run of 14.1@100. It was pretty humid out, So what better way to cool the car then turn on the bottl?

Run 2:

60' - 2.37
1/8 ET - 9.23
1/8 MPH -81.24
1/4 ET -13.9
1/4 MPH -103.30

Got 13's! Lets work on the Launch.

Run 3:

60' - 2.1
1/8 ET - 8.82
1/8 MPH - 80.59
1/4 ET - 14.97
1/4 MPH -65.50

On run 3, I took the RPM's to high for my cars liking why spraying. I shifted at 7800 out of second and when I got to third the car starting cutting out, so I immediately let off and essentially coasted through the finish. Killer 60' Tho!

Run 4: Final Run!

60' - 2.16
1/8 ET - 8.92
1/8 MPH - 81.80
1/4 ET - 13.67
1/4 MPH - 103.45

There it is, 13.6@103. I Could not be happier. I think if we had a little less humidity my MPH would be a lot higher N/A (Considering they were at 100 MPH before, In Feb of 09). The Combination of the Gen III Subframe and the 245/40/17 Star spec Z1's made the launch REAL easy. NO Wheel hop. I was also able to spray in 1st gear.

I should also mention one thing. This was done on only a 55 shot. :)

80mm MAF (I'm currently running a stock unit) and 75 shot runs coming soon.

Awesome! Im excited. Post it up on dragtimes.

Man, new turbo coming in monday. This makes me want it now!

BTW quick comparison to my best run.
2.0 60ft
13.6 1/4
104 trap

So, you can tell where the weight reduction comes in. Right after the 60ft, and up until the 1/8th mile. Im scared to see you put in the 75 pills :thumb:

I hope this does not sound like a "Ricer Excuse" but I'm also on street tires, Altho, Very sticky street tires. This track is also notorious for very poor prep altho it seems better from the last time I was there. FWIW, On my full weight 95 MTX I managed a 2.2 60' on 225/50/17 BFGoodrich G-Force sports at this same track. So, why the weight reduction certainly helped I think the Gen III subframe swap was a huge factor too, There was absolutely NO wheel hop like there was last time I took this car out, I was able to spray with no problems through first gear!

Great times.
That sub frame must be a big factor.
The third run could have been the "one".
Congratulations.

Forgive my lack of information, but is this the best quarter mile time ever?
To me, it sounds like it would be hard to beat.
That is quite an accomplishment with a manual transmission, front wheel drive car.
