2005 gt stang

Define "head to head".

I've pulled a stock one in my car, off the bottle. The bad driving on the STI's part had some to do with it...But even if he was a good driver, He was not going to get me. I'm not dumb enough to play with a modded one.

Yes a stock 05+ mustang will beat you everytime all day long. However a 2011 Gt cant beat me... even in the 1/4.

Modded sti/evo arent so tough....however only reason I give a 360awp evo the win is the gears. However I know if I had the space, I woulda gotten into real boost, then catch up him, then he would run out of gear before I even went to 5th I feel like a damn automatic racing 6 spd cars. I shift just once usally while they shift 3 times

I did it kinda on purpose...scratch that I did do it on purpose but in my expirence, it been twice that I have. Both at the track. One time being that day in MD w/ andrew. Yes drivers weren't the best but 100* track temps hammpered both cars. And driver (s)...one being me. But being 2-3 mph faster made me smile watching him run everytime and seeing 105-7mph.

2nd was at atco after this. He did put a better ET later on (13.2 best i saw) but other runs being in low/mids. And we were trapping the same speeds. So Im not bench racing either.

Please..... dont stick up for it. I don't need to hear it. I want a 2011 stang and will soon be ditching FWD for this car cept a v6 most likely.

But Im proud that the car is faster than a basically built n/a modern 5.0 engine from ford. I think I can brag alittle about the SHO.....anyways so far its wats happened not "will dip into" or "capable". cause I know in my MODDED SHO, 12's are capable and another 2-3 mph with a capable driver. But fine bring on that tuned bolt on 5.0. From a roll it would be a good race. O wait its from a roll....u going to go there now?


Why is this subject SO touchy with u. I know its not about the modded cars vs stock cars. I could care less about that, **** my 91 beat a stage 3 roush s/c 06 stang in autocross. Im not screaming thats it slow or anything. **** that was months ago but I think i can mention that a 9psi s/c SHO can hang/beat a new 2011 GT.

So... How much extra boost do Vortechs pickup in higher gears/load? In a drag race from a dig, I never even remotely see full boost

The evo race was on the PA TP from 60 and 70 mph rolls. I cant talk bout it b/c rules but when I shifted to 4th he pulled (going into 5th, gobs of TQ) we shut down. I saw like 5 pounds in fourth. He is quicker but not faster is basically wat it boils down too. And want I ment is that I never got into real boost in fourth cause I never got that high in the rpms...nice try though Jay. did I mention that I was brake boosting too.

J, lesson here dont assume both cars I was talking about were at the track. wink 11' GT yes but the evo I never said where or went into details lol.

I never assumed anything. I simply asked a question based on what I read... Sounds like a good excuse though. There are sacrafices you make when you get a motor driven intake. You argue gearing, he argues powering two more wheels. Someone has to lose.
