Taurus SLO and Taurus SHO bumpers the same?

I recently was involved in a minor accident and need a bumper-the bumper cladding survived the accident and can use it again. Was told by Nick Chrimes on the V6 SHO list that he thinks the SLO and SHO bumpers are the same. Can anyone here confirm that? Thanks in advance

You mean the black bar thing with the legs mounting to the subframe? Yeah, they're the same. I've heard of SHOs coming with SLO front fascias under them!

a v6 sho front cover wont fit over a standard taurus front cover due to the fog light holes and such

v6 sho front bumpers:
sho spec cover
Taurus spec reinforcement bar
cover is separate from bar

v6 sho rear bumper
sho spec cover, mounted directly to
taurus spec cover, which is an integral part of
taurus spec reinforcement bar

Oh yeah, must've been the rear bumper I was thinking of. I knew there was a SLO bumper cover involved somewhere in there!

Gen1 Front: SHO bumper cover slips over SLO bumper (some of these were painted a different body color (stolt from the SLO assembly line?) or they were unfinished black plastic) with cutouts needed for the corner lamps and fogs (corner lamps are actually marked on the inside where you are supposed to cut).
Gen2 Front: SHO bumper cover fits over the same thing as a SLO bumper cover...a big ugly black plastic bar of a bumper.



Gen1/2 rear: SHO bumper cover slips over SLO bumper.

so both gen are possible to be cross fitted front and rear cool

if i can ever get some $$$ ill get the bumper from shopenix he has one waiting for me and some trunk cuz mine in bad shape had to reweld my trunk latch lol

Fog lights towards the bottom has nothing to do with it. It's the corner lights and the headlamps. The corner lights on the SHO is much longer than the SLOs. The headlamps are rectangular. As I recall, even the brackets are different.

For the Gen 2, you need the swap mounting brackets. and maybe the fenders? I don't recall.

maybe ill see one day but im sure it could fit since it the same lenght it just the fender and the corner light that change

Lot of people confusing bumpers for fascias in here. Bumper = black bar with posts. Fascia = pretty thing that fog lights, yamaha badges, etc. go in.

the front bumper is identical between Sables and SHOs for gen 2 SHO. (not the bumper cover, the bumper.)
