I cant go. I am going to Maxus this weekend with a friend all expences minus food paid lol plus i get to race his car not a bad deal. But with school and all I just don't have the money. I need to find a job im just not getting enough detailing jobs to make any extra money it just barely pays insurance. Plus I still need to pay back runyon lol.

Logistics - Communication

So do we rely on cell phones to communicate in this caravan, or should we each get a walkie-talkie or something?

More than likely cell phones. Everyone has one, and (most people) know how to use them better than walkie-talkies.

Frs Radios are what we use for the caravan.. Middle fingers work too!

I have two extras and I think Chris does as well.. so we will have plenty for everybody..

SHOclass, maybe the rest stop on 90 west of Springfield would be a better meeting place, this way everyone south/west of Spencer could collect there. Just a thought anyway I will find the name of that rest stop.

Blandford is the next rest area west of Springfeild. its at the top of the big hill. I think that will put everyone at the same place..

Ill write it all up this weekend for you guys.. Chris P I might just dictate it to you when you comedown and can put it up here in my office..

I'll have a two-car caravan for the 50 miles from Lake Orion to Dearborn early Sunday afternoon (we are packing survival gear & supplies!). Actually for anyone coming through Canada and Port Huron, we are sorta on the way to Dearborn

My 19-minute caravan to Nashua last year was brutal. I spent more on snacks than I did on gas...

I had a 70 mile caravan last year with 30 cars, 1 truck and one set of train horns.

Haven't had the cash to buy the revolvers yet, but the 12ga will be ready for the venture through Detroit. Plus MREs and water bags. But I have mapped out all the fast-food and gas stations for any emergencies along the route.

Of course this is a day after the 550-mile trip home from VA!!
