I need to clean up my 16" AR Rims to put on the SHO but have to take care of some "salt marks" that they picked up last winter when there was an extended cold front in my area and I could'nt clean them.

Whats the best metal polish for chrome rims? I've heard of some stuff called Nexon something or other but don't know if its any good.

Here's a pic of the wheels :

Not that I'm an expert polisher or anything... but I use what the polishing shops use, not the stuff you can get at Checker Auto. It comes in bars and I buy it from a place that sells jewelry making supplies.

There are different pastes (bars) for each type of metal: steel, brass, aluminum, chrome, etc. For aluminum it is a green colored bar and I end up using it on steel also.

You're not supposed to contaminate an aluminum buff with steel particles, yada yada yada, but unless you're going for the SHOw type of shine, I don't think it makes that much difference.

Those look like aluminum, not chrome.
