I did a search and really couldn't find anything. Is there supposed to be a gasket between the EGR valve and intake? I removed the intake and there was no gasket, it looked like there was some RTV there though. I removed the EGR tube from the manifold and I know there is a gasket there.

yeah, and it's the same kinda gasket - the silvery sort of gasket. I know people have used the paper gasket material you buy in a roll and made gaskets from that, and I guess that works ok for them. I'd be kinda worried about high temperatures, but I suppose as long as it's not hotter than, er, 451 degrees you should be OK. I imagine the paper stuff is treated for a higher ignition point anyway.

Ok, so the EGR tube gasket to the mainifold and the EGR valve to the intake gaskets are the same?

No.

The EGR to manifold gasket is just a thin piece of metal that completes the seal.

The EGR to intake manifold gasket is very different. It has a coating that helps it seal.

The EGR to intake manifold gasket is still available at your normal chain store. www.shonutperformance.com has it listed under gaskets. p/n:E6AZ-9D476-B
