I always liked the 2000 Cobra R's. I found a website that claim they had them in our bolt pattern but when I called, there number was disconnected.

You need to go in a wheel place or ebay and search for 5X108 mm wheels.

Even with lug converters (also known as spacers) You wont find the right offset you need anyway. RWD cars have completely different offsets.

They are a little harder to find but theres plenny of them. Tirerack also got a whole lot of em.

Sorry, No ones being a douche. A mustang has a 5x114.3 bolt pattern and a RWD offset. As stated, They won't fit even with wheel adapters.

You can not fit those wheels on your car, Plain and simple.

Had you have researched what Bolt pattern those wheels were as opposed to the SHO and what offset is correct for the SHO before you posted this topic, You probably would have already been looking for another wheel.

On another note, You could figure out how to put different hubs all the way around the car that have a 5x114.3 bolt pattern and surely find a similar wheel that will fit a SHO correctly. Thats your ticket right there. I don't know how to do it, I'm sure somone here does and will probably chime in on what needs to be done.

step 1: sell your SHO
step 2: buy a mustang
step 3: put car on lift
step 4: uninstall stock wheels
step 5: install new wheels

How harsh, look at his number of posts and figure, ok so he's new to sho forum, possibly sho's and possibly cars (yes I know his join date is Nov 04). Maybe he doesn't realize that RWD and FWD cars have some differences on the rims. Is this not a car forum? Are we not here to help others that may not have the knowledge we do? I have seen much worse questions asked that would have required less research by somebody than this question.

Go easy on the guys people. Could you not have just said,

"Nice looking wheel! Too bad they will never fit, RWD and FWD rims have different offsets (where the center of the rim is in respects to the outter part of the rim) and bolt pattern. Sorry dude"

That being said Good Night.

There was a post on here a few months back about changing the rear hubs to 5x114.3 by using Probe GT hubs and having the front hubs drilled by a machine shop. I wrote down the web site of the place that will drill them if you want it.

None of this addresses the offset being completely wrong for a FWD vehicle.

tifalita, those wheels will not fit on a Taurus SHO, no matter the bolt pattern. End of story.

Find another wheel with a 5x108mm (5x4.25") bolt pattern, and a +38 to +42mm offset.

There is alot more of a selection of wheels in the 5x114.3 than there is 5x108. There has been alot of times I found a FWD wheel that I liked only to find that it doesn't come in my bolt pattern but it came in the 5x114.3. Also the wheel the OP wants would work because it comes in a 45 mm offset but 9in might be a little wide.

cool cool

thanks for the help. this may sound wierd but im new to customizing the SHO, im also quite new to forums, lol. i normally havea hard enough time keeping up with mantaining this beast. i raced a z28 this weekend on a one way steet. him going in the wrong lane of traffic. i had to slow down before we went over the hill and he found a car or something and hit me :\

but i braked from 115 down to 50 and my brake line blew :( :( and i had to coast all the way home. like i said, keeping up the maintainence is hard enough lol. does anyone know the price of maybe having someone fix my busted line? i took the tire off and its right there above the wheel well and i guess it was rusted and couldnt take the pressure.

on a side note. i joined in nov 04 because thats when i got my 1991 SHO MTX
and now i own a 1993 SHO MTX. subtle differences... but both run fine, just now one cant stop once i haul ass!!!

Did you blow the rubber line or the hard line? On the wheels, you might contact the manufacturer and see if they can give you a one-off set of wheels with the right bolt pattern and offset. I am running a custom drilled set of 5Zigen wheels on my 91 that were obtained this way. Just an idea. Good luck.

Do us all a favor, please dont street race, it is a good way to get your self or someone else killed. And as far as the brake line goes if it the hard line, someone on here can help you, if it was the rubber hose that can be replaced with a little work. And I not to long ago was going through the same thing you are for wheels. Listen to these guys their advice can be priceless.:salute:

:shakehead

I hope you're not driving the car while the line is ruptured.

And please replace the line. Don't try to repair it.
