Does anybody know if the Audi 6 cylinder sits sideways or North/South in this car. If it was N/S, that would be a great transplant for a twin turbo'd SHO.

yup. it's a north/south config. there's also plenty of room under there to fit the yamaha under there. you'd need a custom bell housing adapter, and you'd probably have to overcome some wiring issues, but i believe it's quite doable.

everyone I know that had an Audi told me they about electrical gremlins; friend of mine bought a new A6 4.2 and it was in the shop a LOT for problems; warning lights and chimes for open doors and trunk, etc would go off for no reason, radio would turn itself off, windows stuck down, ...

Sounds like a waste to me. If you have all that time and money to waste give me a call I can find something for you to do.

Considering the engine sits in FRONT of the front "Axel" in that car, I imagine putting a Anchor of a SHO engine in the front would make it ridiculously unbalanced.

I worked at audi for awhile. The A6 is pretty reliable ive never seen any major problems with them. Usually its the 1.8T that has issues. As for electrical gremlins i didnt see that many. That 2.7t in a A6 with a 6 speed is a fun car but i would just get the S4 with the same motor.

ridiculous German garbage; the whole car weighs like 2354234234234234 pounds so you can have rosie o'donnell spinning that input shaft and you won't have any (worse) weight distribution problems

/ignorance :)

It still weighs less that the 2010 SHO. Germans must make crappy car because their re-sale value sucks compared to good old American/Mexican/Canadian cars.....lol

Pretty sure Rosie weighs less than a SHO. At least she would after a few weeks if she had to pull a car around.
