I've completed the gen 3 subframe swap in the 90 SHO. I reinstalled the original speed sensors which were working prior to the swap. Since the swap the ABS has not worked and the system gives me codes for the front speed sensors.
Kelvin (K-Dawg) I saw in a prior post that you installed v8 speed sensors. Is this required?

Everybody else, what are you using?

Adam.

I will attempt to get pictures after work today.

One thing I know is that the sensors are on the front of the knuckle for the gen 1 & 2. Its now on the rear for the gen 3.

I dont know why it would really matter since the axles are the same. Unless they were damaged internally when they were removed. FWIW, my g3 subframe was using g3 sensors also.

Which one is it? 93, or 92? FWIW the G3 sensors I used didn't work in my 92. Looking into my service manual, and testing with an ohm meter, produced a reading that I couldn't use. So there must be a few differeneces. ?

I used Gen III sensors in my 95's Gen III subframe conversion, had NESHO do the welding as they have a nice 3D jig for properly locating all the mounts.

seems like gen 3 sensors are the ones to use.

I'm guessing its the mounting location of the sensor?

i would find a way to test the ones you have on the car and see if they're even good. The gen 3 sensors plug into the gen 2 body harness, so I dont really see how they could be different. Just doesn't seem to make sense to me.
