I am selling my Winter Beater
THIS WEEK ONLY PRICE HAS DROPPED TO $500!
1993 Taurus SHO $500 Approx 200K miles (speedometer broke at 183K and I never fixed it)
Runs OK
On Ebay used 3.2L SHO engines ans transmissions are listed for $400-$600 EACH plus shipping. Buy both and save on shipping by driving the car home.
Its pretty beat up but it keeps running.
The Good
A/C Works!
It looks good from 40 feet away
Rust is not too bad
The car is still a blast to drive it will smoke the tires at a launch and bark them when shifting into second
The bad
The transmission shifts HARD, I installed a used tranny a few years ago and the the guy I bought it from claimed that the guy he bought it from had installed a shift kit but he had no proof. It has shifted this way for a least 2 years so I am not worried about realiability
The front suspension is loose everywhere, it bangs when braking hard, launching hard and turing hard.
The rear brakes have never worked right, I think the proportioning valve is stuck. I have replaced everyhting else in the last 4 years but the rear end shimmys when braking hard.
Front rotors are warped, they shake scary hard when braking.
The rear brake lines broke so I installed a compression fitting as a temporary fix and I have not flared the brakes lines and installed a correct repair. Compression fittings are NOT safe but they do work for awhile, These defiantely need to be replaced.
The speedometer is broken
The sunroof leaks so I caulked it shut.
Passenger front window does not roll down
Passenger rear window does not roll down
Driver's front window rolls down but very slowly, it rolls up fine
There is no trunk key I open it up using the keypad on the door
The rear spoiler is cracked and repaired with JB weld
Windshield wiper fluid tank and pump is gone.
Radiator overflow bottle is gone
EGR valve is gone
There is about 6 error codes that flash with the check engine light
Pictures
I'll post more pictures later
