Turn it off. Even the smallest leak will lose alot of nitrous over several hours. I dont' think it's necessary to purge the lines after closing the bottle valve either. They sell nitrous kits without purge solenoids so it really shouldn't hurt anything.

If anything, the motor will just run rich until the air is all the way out, since the air has less oxygen (18%) than the nitrous (~33%). THere will just be a small delay before the N2o kicks in (not going to be much ...)

:confused: Hey man I only know one thing, with the bottle mounted to the side, your system will not work properly. It may seem like it is working well but if you mount the bottle with the the valve pointing to the front of car up at a 45 degree angle or so it will work better. I only know cause I ran juice in my last SHO and had that problem. after I fixed it the car gained 3 tenths in the quarter. Be careful of detonation, check your plugs after you run the n2o :thumb:

Well it ended up being more than 2 months before I got a chance to do some more work on my Zex install. It's about 95% complete now. Just need to tap the throttle body tube for the nitrous injection and wiring the switch under the dash. Oh yeah and of course I need to fill the bottle! Here are two pictures of my Zex setup. The first is the NMU under the hood and the second is the bottle mounting in the trunk.
