Hi -
I've searched here and I found plenty on e-brake related problems!
I can't seem to find the answer I am looking for...

Ok - ready?

I am replacing the 2 rear e-brake cables.
My question is how do I separate the front cable from the rear cable???
That it!

:thankyou::hail:

I may have to replace the front later on, but for now it looks good!

Thanks Mike
Pictures would be good and if anyone know a link some where to do this and / or a post here that covers this already - Please share!

see the sorta tubular do-hickey where the cables meet? bend a tab and move one of the slugs to the center of that cage, it will then come out the side. get some slack on the cables, then get creative with some slip-jaw pliers to draw the end slugs together.

You will also have to loosen the adjuster otherwise it probably wont be possible. That is if you can loosen the adjuster. If you have a grinder just cut the cable.
The front cable might look good, but chances are it's bad. Mine looked good, but on the other side of the rubber grommet it was rusted bad, and it binded.

Thanks Guys!
I got everything apart no problem, except that connector where front meets back under the drivers door. Giving me a little bit of trouble. Cables came right out from calibers with a couple of good smacks from a 3 pd hammer.

Caught a cold the other day feeling better now, so will finish this up as snow on it way! And no garage to work in!

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated!!!:woo-hoo::wave:
