Do I torque these down all the way until they bottom out? Or do I stop short of that. My older SHO experienced cat-back ****** failure, and I don't want to cause that on the '95.

Also, does anyone suggest greasing the donut gasket to allow freer (albeit slight) movement?

Thanks,

The bolts are designed to be tightened all the way down. If you want to reduce the spring's clamping pressure on the gasket, you can fit an appropriately sized washer or two on the threaded portion of the bolt's shaft. The washer must have a smaller ID that the smooth shank of the bolt.

I apply a graphite based, anti-seize grease to the donut, the metal ****** retainer and the bolts. A petroleum based grease would likely cook off in short time.
