I need to replace the Cams in my new 89 and I already have a source for replacement stock Cams. Since I have to go thru all that trouble I wanted to see if anybody has some performances Cams sitting on a shelf. Not looking for anything too aggressive for this car, just something to make it funner to drive. SHO Nut +10, +20, or possibly Tri-flows. SHO Shop stage 1. Whether or not I decide to go this route will be what's available and what the price is.

Thanks, - Chad

I had SHOnut grind me some custom "triflow" intake cams based on relatively short duration/high lift, would need to get the specs off an old hard drive, the lobes on the short runners have slightly higher lift and duration than the ones on the long runners. On the exhaust side I plan to run some low mile intake cams (yes the "new" cam for the right exhaust position will need careful machining for the cam sensor shutter).

In this way duration will be relatively short keeping torque up, but higher lift.

Not 100% sure the stock intake on exhaust cam position idea will work (might need adjustable sprockets), still looking into how to degree a 4 cam engine.

Not trying to be rude, but what does that have to do with my post?

you said you were looking for less aggressive cam profiles, guess I honed in on that.

Not less aggressive, looking for something not too aggressive but better than stock. I'm also not looking to have anything custom made. If I wanted to spend that kind of money I'd just order a set of Tri-flows from Josh. If anybody has anything laying around let me know.
