i think he is saying you need to cut off your old one and put on a new one. if you want and oem one you need to ask for the battery cable from the starter? I probably have one I have to look.

You talking about the wiring terminal at the battery? They sell those all day long at the parts stores. I've purchased many over the last several years.

Or do you need the entire run of cable?

I must be tired...haven't seen these. Gotta look harder. :bonk:

That aside, I do need the whole cable now. I'd like to replace my positive and negative cables. I'm not really interested in cutting the ends off and putting a new battery post that's screwed on.

Thank you sir, please look for me. :salute: The battery post clamp does screw onto the cable so that's not hard.

I would really get a new one from the parts store. Any 20yr old cable will have corrosion inside the cable. They are cheap enough.

If you take yours off you could even make your own. Marine supply stores (if there are any boat supply stores in your area) generally sell many different types of electrical cable and terminal ends cut to order.

Parts stores sell cable in bulk by the foot. They have it in multiple gauges. Usually keep it behind the counter. Just need to ask for it. Add your own terminals to it as needed.

You can get those at most auto parts stores. Autozone used to have a few different ones to choose from

Mine came from Oreillys. Those are the original cables. Just cut off the old clamps and added the new ones.
