my wipers will be on and all of a sudden they stop right in the middle of my windows or at the point before they make it's way back to the bottom of the window. oddly enough, i turn them off and then on again and they work? anyone know what the problem is because it is driving me crazy.

I also have a wiper problem. Last night during the snow storm, my wipers decided to die. They stopped about a third of the way up the windshield and stayed there. I checked it again this morning, and there were no blown fuses. When I pulled and returned the silver circuit breaker that controls the wipers i can hear a little click and could see a tiny spark. I can turn the wiper stalk and I can still hear the seliniod click behind the dash. Any suggestions guys?
Thanks,
Joe

The problem is probably the switch on the wiper stalk. Perhaps someone else can tell you where the link is to repair it. Alternatively replace it - I think there are aftermarket units available.

as far as the dead wipers are concerned. i had the problem a while ago. you will notice that the breaker is probably fine, as is the motor. we thought it was the wiper stalk, and for you it could be. however, there is also a ground control relay in the dash, that is what gave on my car. the stalks are about 100, and the module just over that... in cdn. dollars. i have a spare working stalk now if anyone needs one. as i said, it is probably either the switch, or the ground module.

the only thing i can think of if it either shorts, or loses connection and reseting the switch covers it? ??? but i am not sure of that. or maybe your breaker is acting up.

I believe smokesho has nailed it. Try taking your stalk apart and clean it......then regrease it with di-electric grease. Scott is capable of explaining the procedure further, but on mine, I had to stretch the spring just a wee bit and then replace the caps. Works like a charm now.
