it was a pain in the ass to get everything but i think it looks pretty good for just steelies lol. for anyone that is looking to do this swap you need a few more items then you would think
wheels
tires
hub caps
tps
lug nuts
i wasn't expecting to need lug nuts but in order to be able to fit the little hub caps you need different ones then the ones that come with the sho.
i also found out its not a simple swap every season, every time you swap rims the tps system needs to be relearned, not a huge deal but its an added step.
glad i went thru with it tho, much easier then swapping tires every season.

My brother from another!

Like those steelies....I am getting ready for some dedicated snows very soon...can't find the steelies for a decent price. If you don't mind can I ask what you paid for those?

I am looking at tire rack and can get 18" rims for like $125-135 per....get everything mounted balanced, tpms installed etc for less than what I can find the PI rims for...

If this is your first time with the "new" TPMS sensors then yes they need to be learned. I don't have to relearn mine every swap as it remembers all 8 sensors (winter and summer tires).

Oh and looks GREAT!

I've done the same thing and have a complete set of summer only wheels/tires and winter only wheels/tires. Only takes about an hour per year to swap them out once you have everything purchased. I also bought a tire rack that I mounted on the garage wall to keep the off season set off the floor. I bought my rims from Discount Tire and they are the Drag Wheels DR-37 matte black with Michelin Aplin PA3 high performance winter tire. Never an issue and goes through the snow with ease. Welcome and I do like those steelies on the red car. Looks like it could be a fire chiefs car.

good to hear, firestone was saying they need to be re learned every time but that is good news, thanks.

I got to say that I was expecting your car to look like a police car but turns out that I really like the looks. I keep going back to look at your pics and they look badass.

these cars sure look good with steelies. I went a different route, I bought some 18" mustang wheels cheap and then got one heck of a deal on tires so i couldnt pass it up.

Yeah, def looks good with the steel wheels. Really looks like a police cruiser now. People still go slow around my '12, esp at night cause they think its a cop car. even though I have Livernois decals on it.

Great job. I'm trying to do the same thing to my red 2013 SHO.

Long story short, my wheels need repainted. I looked for steel wheels like what you put on your SHO, but didn't find anything I liked. I was thinking of buying a set of the Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires and leaving the factory wheels on through another winter. But now after seeing what you've done I think I will buy both DG1Z1015A F87Z-1130-GB so I can get my factory set re-painted. Can you post a close-up pic of the wheels and tires on your SHO? What are the specs and sizes on the tires that will fit that steel 18 inch wheel?

Pretty sure....Nope, Positive, I saw your car parked outside my service department last week...

Those tires are beefy, and the car looks great by the way.

i got the same size i believe 235/55/18s with same steel wheel didnt get the caps though didnt feel like forking out another 200 for them. love how they look though. we just had a huge dump of snow and -25C temps and the michelin x ice have been amazing. i went to a thinner tire for the ski effect that happens in deep snow and i got the bigger sidewall for those curbs hidden undersnow in parking lots.
