windshield wipers/washer fluid pump...

Suddenly my wipers only work at the two top speeds, washer fluid doesn't work when I press the switch.(end of turn signal stalk) Only a switch problem? , or has more than 1 part gone on the fritz at the same time? Any one with the same experience?
If it helps it's a 91 SHO Plus with 170 Km on it. Thanks.

The switch you speak of is known as the multi-function switch, ford calls it the turn signal. either way ford wants $50. I have one (brought it for my bird, but turns out it was just a loose harness) because ford wouldn't take it back simply because I opened the box.

The fluid motor is only like a $20 part form ford but you have to access it from the inner front fender on the passenger side andits a pain in the butt... as for the windshield wipers, i guess its somewhat of a common problem considering i've heard of atleast 5 people with these cars have this problem

just pop off the button on the multi function switch. You will see a philips screw, undo it, remove the innards, you will see a couple of brass "fingers" that stick out. bend these fingers so they stick out a little further so they will make better contact. You might use a little dab of dilectric grease on the contact surface, too. This can be done on new switches, too, as those fingers don't make very good contact even when new.
