windshield weather stripping

Weather stripping in my Gen II appears to be coming up around the front window. Several places are bowing outwards. Do I need to be worried about leaks? Should I use some sort of adhesive to reattach the existing one or buy a new one or what?

The glass is glued to the metal body.
So no leaks to worry about.
The trim is esthetic only and can be reglued.

One less thing to be concerned about then. My car's got 99 problems but a leaky windshield ain't one.
