Since the time that this 1991 was purchased (nearly a year ago)from the original owner.....the maintenance has been a nightmare.....all the problems that this SHO has, stems from parts that were incorrectly installed or....they were not the correct parts.
Newest drama is the starter was frozen on a 1991 and fried due to incorrect solenoid on fenderwall....I mean how hard is that to spec. out....for a SHOsurgeon it should have been a no-brainer.....for me a little longer....but thanks to the OEM part donated temporarily from Snowwind which is apparently one of the only stock, OEM uncorrupted examples of SHO origin...his part did the trick and the starter is now fine,,fired right up.....
So what gives with people doing work on SHOs and being paid a premium to claim they know what they are doing and eventually the owner find out....broke down, repeat work, wrong part used, used worn part was replacement....etc, etc,
Such a damn shame...
So are there any real true SHOsurgeons out there that we can trust...

I only trust myself working on my car. I avoid so called "sho specialist shops" at all costs, if possible. I bought a sho for a hobby to keep me away from some of the bad things in life. I didn't buy it to break down and get ***** by a mechanic's shoddy service and insane crazy prices.
Buy tools, a factory manual, and have a spare car for those unfortunate times.

I have met the man and his wife. They are both people of high character. They both know SHOs and drive them with wonderful abandon. If there was a problem with my SHO that I couldn't solve, Sergio is the one I would ask for help. In fact, I have. And he did.

I am in Sergio's fan club. I only wish I knew as much about the SHO as he does. Don't shoot yourself in the foot by slamming one of the true "Keepers of the SHO." You won't win many SHO friends on that tact.

Sergio is the only mechanic I've ever known that I could call up, explain a problem, and have it diagnosed OVER THE PHONE and not even be charged a cent!!!
His knowledge/help/experience allowed me to buy my super nice 95 SHO for a little over 2 grand that I wouldn't have even considered otherwise. After replacing a 20 dollar (VSS)sensor as per his recomendation, I have a SHO that doesn't need a 2,000 dollar tranny rebuilt. How much is Sergio's friendship worth to me?
Damn...not sure I could put a $$ amount on it, he's saved my A$$ many times!

While I lived in Houston I was ***** by many other shops that swore they knew about the SHO, I got Sergios name off of shotimes and took may SHO to him and he fixed it a reasonable price to boot. After I moved to Arlington and before joining the lsshoc, when I had a problem with my SHO I would call him for a dianosis over the phone and he was right on the money every time, and hasn't asked for a dime.

When I had a brake problem I called Sergio telling what the SHO was doing and he told me he thought it was my ABS pump and sensor going out. After a shop in Lewisville had replaced the master cylender 3 times and bleeding it countless times I took it to Texan Ford in Arlington and told them to replace the ABS. The servce manager said he would get his mastermachanic to dianosis the problem, well their mastermachanic said it only needed bleeding, after taking it back 3 times they finally replaced the ABS, after witch I get a call from them saying their mastermachanic had found the problem and I needed to replace the ABS pump. DUUUUUUHHHHHHH

One thing Bishy, the solenoid used on the 89-91 SHO is a common one used on all remote mounted solenoid ford cars. My 97 mountaineer has the exact same one as my 91 sho. The only different ones are the ones mounted on the starter.

To all the readers of LSSHOC: Martin it is one thing to edit what i say,but it is another to use my name to say what you wanted to say...
Please don't treat me this way,I don't deserve this kind of treatment... I have done nothing to you or anyone else on that matter.

You've been told how it is. Sergio isn't a bad guy, stop trying to bad mouth him because of things you've heard from THE ONLY person who doesn't like him. Have you even met him??? nope!!
If there was the possibility of truth to the things you've said, that'd be one thing, but you're wrong. Can't you tell that by the many posts in this thread in support of Sergio?
I'm sorry changing your words offended you, but you WILL NOT bad talk an upstanding member of the SHO arena as long as it's within my power to prevent it.
