I was coming home from work the other day doing about 70-75, the road curved to the left and I thought I felt something pop during the turn. As I straightened the wheel out of the curve I felt a slight shaking, kind of felt like if a wheel was out of balance and hitting something with each revolution. It would get worse whenever I'd turn the wheel any degree to the right and go away almost completely if I turned to the left. As I drove it slowly got worse and worse. Now it doesn't matter if the wheel is turned, the shake is just always there (though it does still increase in severity with the wheel turned to the right). At very low speeds it feels like metal grinding for a portion of each revolution of the wheels. The faster I go the faster it gets until, at around 50+ mph the car shakes quite violently. When I am accelerating the shake disappears completely and when I brake it goes away as well. The harder I break the less shaking there is. Can't think of anything else to mention at the moment. Any ideas?

Check the basic stuff. Get the front end off the ground and grab hold of the wheel. Shake side to side to check tie-rod's, up and down to check ball joints. Look at the subframe bushings too.

But what it really sounds like, over the internet at least, is an axle.

Gave up and took it in to my mechanic. New tie rods and ball joints. The lugnuts on the front drivers wheel had shakin themselves loose as well which obviously wasn't helping. Went to pick it up last night and she wouldn't start. No fuel pressure. Next morning starts with one crank. Turns out to be a bad ccrm. $695 total bill. al;sdkfjal;skdfj Merry Christmas! :bonk:
