Wierd Charging issues Please Help

im new here just bought a 93 atx SHO ive been a mechanic for years but this has me puzzeled the battery light flashes very randomly sometimes flickers sometimes stays on somertimes dosent come on at all but it does come on on a daily basis ive checked the fusible links going to the A terminal and the main wire both good no drop in voltage everything normal right before and during the light coming on all of the lights seem to pulsate i fin ally was able to catch it with a voltmeter before the light went off and it jumps from 14.4 to 15.6 volts quicker then you can blink ive had battery and alternator both tested and comes back good So any Ideas would help greatly and be much appreciated. also i checked and cleaned every ground i could find to no provail...HELP

I can't see anything in the car making your voltage jump from 14.4 to 15.6 volts except the voltage regulator which is part of the alternator.

What he said. The voltage reg. sounds like it's malfunctioning.

That was my next thought just trying to avoid replacing 200 dollar alternator, o well apreciate the help

My sons SHO (95 MTX) had the battery light coming and going and turned out to be the single wire connector on the alternator. Not sure if your 93 ATX has the same one or not.
