I have a 93 atx and I was driving home on the freeway tonight going about 70, then all of a sudden the rpms drop from like 2500 to 1000 for a split second almost like it tried to downshift then the rpms went right back up to normal. I am totally at a lost to what it might be. I just had my tranny replaced by Ford...do you think it could be a junk tranny or bad electronics somewhere. Thanks for any input.

Sounds like a bad sensor somewhere, probably the failing CPS that Rob mentioned. It's a classic thing on these cars.
