I need help pin pointing this problem, my SHO has been rich for an easy year or two, with no improvement with new O2's many sets of platinum plugs, and many other sensors.

The only sensor I have left that I have read will cause it to run rich is the ECT which I will do soon.

Even at light 4K+ shifts I get a nice puff of black smoke, I never get a fuel smell just the black smoke. And I get it worse with no load revs like from idle to 5K and releasing the throttle causes lots of black smoke. Is there something else that could keep my SHO running in closed-loop mode?

For rich running conditions, the ECT is one of the FIRST sensors that should receive attention.
