Why does it seem like the car shifts at 90?

It seems like a slight shift. Revs hit 5000rpm and then when you hit 90mph it feels like a shift and revs drop to 4500rpm but it pulls even harder then before.

It's the torque converter locking or unlocking, or the car is shifting.

Its an odd something in the transmission program, the torque convertor locks then unlocks... you can see it very well in the dyno graphs on V8 Shotimes. Have fun!

I just picked up my 97 SHO from the dealer and i took it out for a rip snort and noticed the same thing. It's pretty cool because it is a noticeable pull back when it does lock up and it accelerates and pulls harder! Man i love these SHOs!!!
