I have MOOG CCs, Im gonna clip 1 1/2 coil off the front spring and 1/2 off the back because that is what I was advised to do. I dont know what struts to use though. I need a strut that will not make it a pogo stick like effect. Would KYBs make it pogo stick ride?? I may do tockios if I can find them, but for now Id like to just use KYBs. Also, would KYBs work well on stock springs?? Basically this thread is about what strut to use with my MOOGs and my buddies stock spring car, his suspension just feels mushy and he wants to do struts.

So what struts should I use?

And what strut should my buddy use on stock springs?

Stock Springs use kybs. Any performance or cut down spring is going to need performance struts. Tokico or Koni.

Tokicos it is, Where the heck can I get them now that they are discontinued?? And also dont I have to use the stock strut rod in the tokico cartridge?? If so it seems like alot of work. I know Ive seen somewhere that they offer a kit that comes fully assembled, all ready to go. Basically I need to know where to get tokicos OR konis. I saw a set of konis on ebay for like a lil over 500 or something like that. Ive got a FAT paycheck coming my way so I might as well get some nice struts to go with my so-so springs. If someone could like me that would be most excellent!!

Thanks guys!

I've got Tokickos with stock springs....Makes for a spooky ride when you push it. The old car had Konis/Eibachs, and I was quite pleased with them.

I wouldn't call the Moog CC's "so-so springs". Yes, they are cheap, but you get a big bang for the buck.

They are a heck of a lot stiffer than stock. I've tried Eibachs and Intrax, and the Moogs are even stiffer than them. On my 2.5" lowered SHO Plus with Moog CC's, it won't bottom out nearly as easily as it did with Eibachs or Intrax. :thumb:

Definitely get a set of premium struts to go with those babies.

Somebody mentioned that Midwest SHO recently (?) sent out emails announcing some new struts; I did not see any emails though; anyone out there (Mikey !) have any info on what these are ? I'm in the market too and if these are adjustable KYB's / Tokico Illumina full struts or the like, would be a lot easier than doing Koni inserts.
