This seemed to as good a spot as any to introduce myself. Hello to all. New member here. My name is Rob and I just joined the club a couple of days ago. I'll give you all a brief history (don't really want to bore anyone too soon). I own a red 1999 SHO with 50,100 miles, original owner. I've pretty much always been a Ford guy, having owned a '68 Mustang 302 and then I moved into a '68 Shelby GT350 (wish I still had that one). I had gotten away from fast cars for awhile (money, work, etc) and wasn't really shopping for this car, I was really just looking for a Taurus. Went to this dealer, they were having a sale. Saw the '99 Taurus in the ad and wouldn't you know it, the SHO was parked right next to it. I'm looking at one and the salesman is asking if I want to drive the SHO. Well he must have been able to tell, it was like he threw a baited hook out there and just reeled me in. After driving the SHO he asked if I still wanted to drive the regular Taurus. Didn't even sit in it. Bought the car new in Feb 2000, so I got a pretty good deal on it and have been loving it ever since. No major problems so far. Mostly regular maintenance, but the alternator did crap out on me a couple of months ago. That's about it I guess. Just looking forward to meeting some new people having some fun and getting some ideas on how to make the car go faster.
