I feel like I've been posting a handful of threads, but many of you have been able to help me out with the questions I have which I appreciate a lot!

I found a local junkyard that has the 18' Police Interceptor steelies for $60 a pop, however they do not have the chrome hubcaps which look horrible without them. The only ones I've seen are asking about $54 for a new hubcap. I'm not paying the same amount for a plastic hubcap that is the same price as the wheel.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a set of 4 for cheap, or anyone have extras for sale? *** holes are getting bad in Michigan right now, so I don't want to risk bending a 20' I just had finished in gloss black

I bought mine from the dealership. They are steel not plastic. Be sure to get the corrct lug nuts or they won't hold on. I'm very certain your chrome acorn nuts won' work.

Sorry for bot Bering much help. Wanted to make sure you have the right nuts. :)

Really, the hubcaps are steel? I knew the wheels were. I plan on picking up the steel wheels themselves at a junk yard today for $60 each. How much did the hub caps cost you at the dealership? I was a salesman at a Ford dealership for 4 years and left on good terms, so maybe they can still give me the employee discount! If not (which I'm planning on) I'm curious as to how much they cost you for the set of 4 hubcaps

Appreciate the information, that is very useful. ow I am second guessing if I should get these or not. I don't want to risk damaging my 20's, however, it sounds like this is going to cost me much more than I thought it was going to. I was assuming that the junkyards would still keep the hubcaps, so I was assuming $400 after everything including tires (used ones). Now it's looking like I'm better off just buying aftermarket wheels or checking back with my dealership to see if I can get the rim and tire package I declined lol. The wheel and tire package I declined was $600 and now the wheels I thought I could get on for $400 and under is going to cost double that after nuts and hub caps!

The police wheels are rated for a 40 mph curb hit.
Now I am tempted again lol! Any recommended cheap tires to go with the police wheels? Again, I plan on only having them on in the winter, so the best tires for snow and these wheels for a 40mph curb hit!

No suggstions on cheep tires. I know my blizzaks are more slippry this year than last. I bought them new. Seems to be the normal from what others say. But I'm assuming they are safer than a summer sport tire in the winter.

Go to tiresize.com and figure out what sizes are close to what you have now. Note the side of tire you need when downsizing to 18s and make some phone calls on prices.
